Okay I am going to try this now after over a month of Microsoft and everyone else saying they have  no idea. Ever since Microsoft's great idea of factory resetting my laptop and loading it into windows 10 ( and taking away original windows 7 option for me) I have touchpad. No matter what me or anyone else has tried I can't seem to get it back either. I mainly use the thing for school and the occasional games and would really like to have this working. So my last resort has become to check if it is enabled in the bios under advanced tab which of course I do not have. So is there anyone that can help me or should i just throw it out.

Windows should have checked driver compatibility before upgrading, but that is cold comfort.
    There are two options:
    1) reinstalling the touchpad driver. Model number is needed for this option.
    2) factory reset to Windows 7, if that recovery image is still available.
Let us know which option you wish to try, but definitely don't chuck it out.

Try resetting the laptop to a factory fresh Win7 state from the hidden ACER recovery partition using the ALT+F10 cold boot method outside of Windows10. Make sure the laptop is completely off. Then turn it back on and ***immediately*** press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. A recovery screen should appear if the hidden partition is still intact. Jack E/NJ

I can't factory reset it to windows 7 because of microsoft support having me factory reset it and somehow deleted windows 7 booting it into 10 then telling me there is no longer an option for 7. I feel they kinda really stuck it to me with that. I have factory reset it so many times and even had a copy of windows 7 I tried to install and got an error telling me it was going to uninstall it due to incompatibility. I have also got on here and looked up drive r threw acer uninstalled and reinstalled driver with no luck
