DNS Server not responding

Hi,

So this is the first time I have ever experienced this.

My connection just constantly cuts out. Even though my signal strength is full, I have tried restarting the router but that does not seem to work. I have also tried changing the DNS address to 8.8.8.8 but that does not work either. 

Has anyone else experienced this

My laptop is an Acer Aspire 3 A315-51

Hi,
Go to Settings-> Network and Internet-> WiFi, click Manage known networks, click other networks(probably neighbours') and select forget leaving only your network.
You could also try different DNS addresses, OpenDNS or cloudflare DNS.

Can this be a problem with my laptop or is there an issue with my ISP

No, it could be a minor glitch, finding the proper settings, drivers etc might resolve the problem.

If you are uncomfortable with Command Prompt, then the next option is to call support at your Internet Service Provider to walk you through the troubleshooting.  Once we had a very localized power outage & my router had to be re-configured.  Without the help of the ISP support desk, it was not obvious that this was the solution.
