Power on Aspire A315-41-R8TH with lid closed (not talking about waking up from sleep with keyboard!)

Hello guys, here is my situation:
I have an Aspire A315-41-R8TH that I use with an external monitor and an external wired keyboard.
The laptop is closed and positioned below the monitor stand.
I want to specify that I googled for 2-3 days before posting this question, but I didn't find any possible solution.

So basically what I'd want to do is to power on the pc from a state that can be the standard shutdown or an hibernation (NOT sleep nor hybrid sleep), without pulling out the laptop, opening it and press the power button.
I tried every possible configuration to wake the system pressing a key with the external keyboard (which would have been the best solution), but I think I'll have to stand to the idea that this is just not possible.
Do you guys have any ideas on how to achieve this?

P.S. I'd want to avoid the "sleep" solutions because I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that keeping the RAM used for all the time and never completely shutdown the laptop isn't too good...

    Nice keyboard.
See this, but no other way to power up.  Not like an automobile, that can be cranked from the exterior with a button.

    About the keyboard, thank you.
About that article, I can't see any relation with my problem: I already enabled that option, but it has nothing to do with what I need.

If you've already enabled the "never sleep" option, that was not clear from your first post.  Regarding powering up without opening the lid, I'm not aware of an alternative, hence the remark about cars.

Just to inform who is reading this post that I solved my problem using the WOL ethernet protocol: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-3682344/set-wake-lan-windows.html
Only compromise: the laptop needs to be connected to the router/AP via Ethernet.
Good news is that it's capable of running up the system also after a shutdown (which is what I was looking for).
