I need to install Windows 10 on my Chromebook. Instruct me how to do it please. Also, tell me how to keep my data from being deleted, the data that's synced between my Chromebook and the google server, thx.

    Hi @OvidD
Chromebooks don’t ship with a Windows-compatible BIOS. Even a Chromebook like the Acer C7, which has extremely similar hardware to an existing Acer laptop that runs Windows, includes a BIOS that isn’t compatible with Windows and can’t run Windows. In some new Chromebook you can unlock the BIOS to install windows.

I say it again: this isn’t officially supported. Chromebook is not designed for windows operating system.  There are “how to install Windows on a Chromebook” guides on the web, but they’ll only walk you through installing Windows inside a virtual machine in developer mode and making it full-screen.

here is the link on how to install windows 10 on chromebook. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mykS0A1f3wI

If your data is saved in google cloud storage then installing the OS would not erase your data. But anything that is saved offline would be deleted. So, check if you have any files saved offline and if so, upload them to your google drive.

There is basically 2 ways to install Windows on a Chromebook:
    1) Via Crouton, which will create a virtual machine of Windows inside Chrome OS.
    2) With the ChromeOS Firmware Utility Script, a) which replaces Chrome OS completely, or b) dual boots both operating systems.
There is quite a bit of reading that must be done beforehand.  Essentially you must understand everything on the MrChromebox.tech webpages. You must also know how to use the command line, which is necessary to download & install the utility (can't just double click on a download as in Windows).
The How-to Geek tutorial is an excellent guide in accomplishing 2)a) which employs the Full ROM firmware.  Using the RW_Legacy firmware is far less risky (least likely to brick your device) & does not require opening up the back of the device to disable the write-protect screw/jumper.
Check here to determine which firmware is available for your device.
It's best to backup all personal files to an external drive.  The Chrome browser will be automatically synchronized while in Chrome OS, but you will have to decide the extent of the synchronization.  This webpage will explain how to synchronize the browser in Windows.
