Greetings fellow owners,
I see that the Killer drivers on the official site (https://www.killernetworking.com/killersupport/driver-downloads) are updated to version 1.7.1089, while on the Acer support page only up to version 1.5.1852. Would it be bad if I used the Killer drivers in place of the Acer-provided ones?
Also, I noticed one weird thing: the Acer drivers are 151MB, which I presume correspond to the "Killer Control Center 64-bit - for Windows 7, 8.1 & older Windows 10 versions" package of the Killer site, which is 118MB. But that package is listed for "
Windows 10 64-bit 1709 or earlier.", while I have 1803.
For 1803, Killer actually provides another driver package, "Killer Software Package - for Windows 10 1803+", which is quite smaller.
So it would seem that not only I could install that package, it seems that I should.
Any experiences?
Thank you all

    Hi,
The drivers from Acer are tailored to suit Acer laptops while the drivers from Killer are for a variety of laptops, so I would suggest you to backup the system and try the driver from Killer, if you find it's performance better than Acer driver, continue to use it. The driver for 1803 is smaller because they might have removed unnecessary files and folders from the original release.
