Brand new ET430K not working

Just bought the ET430K and hooked everything up to my pc and nothing. No display is coming up and its not even being detected by my pc. I have a kingpin 780ti which supports a max resolution higher that the monitor so im not understanding what could be wrong with it.

    Hi Randomuser123,
    Please try a monitor self test to determine if monitor is working fine. Steps to follow.
    1) Shut down your monitor.
    2) Remove all cables including power cable from the monitor.
    3) Ones all cables are removed. Press and hold the power button on monitor for 30 seconds.
    4) Then connect only the power cable to the monitor.
    5) Turn on the monitor and check if you can see the acer logo coming up. If it does the monitor is fine.If no acer logo comes up its a hardware issue with monitor . So since your monitor is new contact acer support.
    6) If the acer logo comes up, then turn off your desktop and use only the HDMI cable to properly connect from computer to monitor.
    7) Ones connected, turn on the computer. If the display comes great. If not and your computer has windows OS, then Press the windows logo key+P  on the keyboard.
    8) Choose duplicate and see if any changes happen.It should resolve the issue. Please let me know if I steps helped in fixing your issue.
