I had bought this laptop back in 2016, and been using it ever since. I usually keep good care of it, but recently I have been having annoying issues with my laptop. Specifically with the charging part of it, as it keeps being connected, to disconnected. I went through two chargers already, and have one new one from a couple days ago. only, it keeps beeping, charging on and off. Worried because I use it for college. If it is a charger port issue, how much does it cost to be repaired? And how long does it take, since all my classes are networking and coding related. So I would need this very fast. Or, is there a way i could possibly upgrade by trading in or something? I would prefer it being fixed, but I would like to see what I could upgrade too out of curiosity.

P.S, I  don't know why this is under android tablets, and I have no idea on how to move it to the right section.

I'll ask to see if it can be moved for you. IIRC the 575G uses a 90W power supply with a 1.7x5.5x11 barrel connector, center positive. That's a pretty common connector and the center electrode doesn't usually fail on the jack. It's quite possible though that the stresses of being bent around over the years has caused one or more of the wires internal to the cable to partially separate. That could give your symptoms with potentially a diagnostic being to try and shift and bend the wires around until you can get either a 'it's working good' or 'it's not working at all' rather than your current intermittent connection. If that turns out to be the issue just replace the power supply and you should be good to go again. Another possibility would be that the outer electrode of the power jack, which has a spring fit to put pressure on the side of the barrel, has weakened so it no longer makes a good solid contact. That would be more problematic to fix, since a replacement would require unsoldering it from the motherboard and replacing it with a new one. It might be possible to get a temporary fix by bending it enough to allow good contact again, but the risk is that it breaks when trying to bend it. Over time if the spring has gone out of the metal it'll just deform again, faster each time.

My son is also having issues with the charger port. We have taken it to the repair shop, and they replaced the charging port twice, and the charging cable. Same issue, no difference.
