Hi,

I just bought this laptop https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079TGL2BZ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
and this M.2 SSD https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073SBV3XX/ref=twister_B07BXC53V5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

As far as I know, this is a 2280 M.2 SSD so there shouldn't be any problems with it but just to maje sure, is this SSD compatible?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, it should work. Please create a USB recovery media before making any changes on your laptop. Use the following steps to create a USB Recovery Drive using Acer Care Center:
Click the Start  menu. Click All Apps. Click the Acer folder, then click Acer Recovery Management. Click the Backup tab.
Click Get Started to the right of Create Factory Default Backup. Insert a 16 GB USB drive into your system.
Make sure there is a check in the box next to Back up system files to the recovery drive and click Next.
Select the drive you wish to create the USB recovery drive to and click Next. Click Create. Click Finish.

To transfer your OS to SSD.
Please follow the steps below and see whether it helps:
1.Download and install Minitool partition wizard free.
    2. Install the SSD and use Migrate feature to transfer the contents of HDD to SSD.
    3. Go to BIOS and change the boot order to make the SSD as your first boot device.
    4. Make sure the migration was successful, then format the HDD and use it for storage.
You can also remove the HDD and use the laptop only with the SSD after the migration completed, if you prefer.

Doing this now. Just bought the 392H and a 128GB M2 SSD. I'll let you know how it goes!

Worked like a dream! I didn't use any petitioning software. Set up USB. Shut it off. Disconnected hard drive, installed SSD and turned it back on. Let Windows reset the pc with the USB. Set the BIOS to boot to the SSD. Shut off and restarted a few times to make sure it worked. Shut it off, reconnected the HD, formatted the HD and voila! Windows on a 128GB SSD, HD empty and ready for storage!
