My Aspire E5 575G sometimes doesn't charge.

One day I was on my laptop and while my charger was plugged in, the laptop indicated that I was not. I checked the charger to make sure that it was plugged in and it was. After re-plugging everything it worked. The next day the same thing happened, but this time re-plugging everything did nothing. Sometimes the laptop charges, and other times it doesn't. I suspect that the charging port may have some kind of issue, but I'm not sure. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, how did you fix it? I need this laptop fixed ASAP, it's the start of the semester and I can't afford to have this happen for too long.

Please try a simple power reset. Disconnect the charger. Please check for a battery reset PIN hole at the bottom of the device. The reset hole would have a battery symbol next to it. Insert a paperclip into the hole and press for four seconds. Let the computer sit for 5 minutes with no power. Reconnect the charger and check the issue.

The easy option to isolate the issue is by swapping the charger for another, or trying this charger on another device.  You can also check the adapter using a multimeter. Plug in the adapter. Wrigle the cable and check the adapter. Make sure it's putting out the rated voltage. If you see voltage or amperage that jumps around from high to low a high,  Ditch that adapter immediately. Please use only a OEM adapter, not third party. You can get a replacement adapter from Acer.
If the charger is working fine, you may contact a local technician to physically check the laptop or contact Acer support in your region and check for further options to fix the laptop.

I've reset the battery and plugged in the adapter, but no change; the laptop still isn't charging. Does this indicate which part is not working?
