Upgrade RAM

I have an Acer Aspire as above with just 2GB of memory. I'm told that I can upgrade it to as much as 8GB but what I need to know is :-

 

1) is it just one bank of 8GB memory or is it two banks of 4GB memory?

2) what type of memory is it that is fitted?

3) is there a photo or anything like that where I can see what I'm going to encounter as I take the bottom of the machine off? I'd like to see what I'm doing before I make a start.

Hi Deci,
 Can you please tell me the model number of your Acer Aspire computer.  You can actually get the manual for your computer from the acer website which will show all the specs of motherboard to you.
All you need to do is  go to 
http://www.acer.com/worldwide/support/
Choose your country.
On the top of the page you will see support. Click on that.
On left side you will find Drivers and manual. Click that and put in your computer's snid number( bottom of your computer in barcoded sticker).
Click Find.
From the results that come up, click on Documents.
Then one of the options will be User Manual. Click on Download which is on the extreme right of User manual. Download it and you will see all the specifications.
