  • Hi,
    You have to go to BIOS, move to Main tab and check whether the Touchpad mode is in Basic, if it is, switch to Advanced.

    Hi,
    You may have Precision Touchpad installed, go to BIOS settings and check whether it's in Advanced mode(under Main tab), if it's not, switch to Advanced mode.

    Then press F10. enter. This will restart your computer. Let me know if this fixes your issue. For the manual on this computer go to
    http://www.acer.com/worldwide/support/
    Then enter your country. On the main page click on support tab on top of screen and from left side click on Drivers and Manual.
    Put in the snid for your computer and click on Find.
    Click the documents button to open all document. This will have your user manual  which you can download

    @VenturaDan

    I downgraded my OS from 10 to 7, and stuck on kind of similar issue. It seems to me that Acer installed hardware but let windows handle the drivers instead of releasing Acer specific drivers. Downside of this is that you cannot even see this hardware in device manager. Hardware is there, and windows 10 is managing like it were some integral part of your hardware.

    So if you are on Windows 10, have turned on Advanced in BIOS, and still want more control over touchpad, you can try the below.

    So here is what I did as part of my trial and error -
    (Snipped from my post --> https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/551754/manual-installing-windows-7-on-g3-572)
    Touchpad would still be in basic... to allow for advanced features like scroll and such, search google for Touchpad_Synaptics_17.0.6.21_W7x64_A and touchpad_ELANTECH_11.6.24.209_W7x64_A. Try installing both, one of them will work, and you the touchpad customization app.

    I let the touchpad drivers at Basic in BIOS (since 7 doesn't recognize when set to Advanced).
    And then I installed both synaptics and elantech drivers - in my case windows 7; you need to search google for drivers for windows 10. And i installed both.

    This is how my device manager looks now:
