Hi everyone,

recently I bought a new Acer Aspire 7 A715-72G-72B3 laptop and it came with pre-insalled Linux Linpus. Now, I have problems installing Win 10.

The thing is, there are no options for USB boot in BIOS. I enabled Boot menu (F12), but the only thing it shows me is Linpus boot from HDD. So far, I set up a supervisor password, I disabled Secure boot but still nothing. I tried to change Boot mode from UEFI to Legacy, but there is no option for Legacy. Is there any other way to change boot mode? Or, is there any other procedure to try to install Win 10.

Thanks for any help in advance.

    Solved!

The thing is that my Windows 10 image on USB wasn't correct (although I thought it was), I made a new one using Windows Media Creation Tool and after that it worked. And there is no need to change the Boot mode, it stayed as UEFI.

your may create a bootable USB drive with rufus, with the options of
GPT partition for UEFI and file system of FAT32

Hello, i am about to buy Acer A715-74G computer but it has Boot-up Linux as operating system. Does anybody know, is it possible to install Win10 and how can you do it. I see that some Acers have problems with BIOS settings (uefi/legacy etc) and since I don't know how my new BIOS will look like I would like to know if you have done it, since you have very similar computer. Thanks
