Cannot Setup

I have a new Acer  Chromebook.I am trying to set it up.I turned it on and tried connecting through my router.It says-Not connected to internet but when I click on the icon on bottom of screen it says connected to my router.How do I set it up?

    Try shutting down your CB, unplugging your router and modem (for about 30 sec), plug modem in, after initialized (about 1 min), plug in your router, let it initialize (about 1 min), then start your CB. I'd bet some money that this will will resolve your issue. Also, it's a pretty good idea to check/verify that your router is up to date, (firmware).

    Hi @willy99,

    Try to do a power wash on the unit. 
    1. Sign out of your Chromebook.
    2. Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift + r.
    3. Click Restart.
    4. In the box that appears, click Powerwash and then Continue.
    5. Follow the steps that appear and sign in with your Google Account.
      Note: The account you sign in with after you reset your Chromebook will be the owner account.
    6. Once you've reset your Chromebook:
      • Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your chromebook 
      • Check if the problem is fixed
