i havent been able to play any single player games for the past two months now. any game even remotely taxing like Vampyr, Metro Redux so on and so forth cant run more than 30 mins without crashing my PC, with the error something went wrong blue screen popping up and restarting. playing these games send my laptop too 97 degree celsius. i have tried undervolting by intel XTU which is what has been telling me about the thermal throttling and the only a few games tend not to crash my PC. so what do i do about this. how can a ***** laptop not even a year old give me these many issues. i know its a gaming rig and they tend to run hot but this is ridiculous i didnt even used to crank fan speeds before and still managed decent temps the first few months and now i cant game at all

  • Hey brother I made a few videos on optimizing the Helios 300 and also on using Throttlestop instead of XTU (much better temps and increases performance).

Give them a look over and let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for such a prompt response but unfortunately it did not help one bit even when i undervolted more than your recommended -80 on the 1050ti and i5 model of my predator 300

    1. Turn on vsync, if possible
    2. Limit frames to 60 FPS (your screen in all chances is 60 Hz, any FPS over screen refresh rate is not visible anyways)
    3. Get a USB fan and point it to north of F-keys above numbers.
    4. Try to increase laptop height to about an inch gap from base so there is more air flow space.
    5. Use XTU to reduce temps.
    6. Scale down graphics a little like turning off those visual features that use hog GPU but barely make any visible difference on screen.

All these combined should easily reduce temps by 10-20 degrees.
