Hi
I just bought a docking station for my Acer Aspire V15 BE VN7-593GThe docking station is Plugable UD-ULTCDL Triple Display Docking Station.
The extended display works perfectly but I can't charge the laptop via thunderbolt connection. On there forum, many user has as successfully charged through thunderbolt 3 connection.
Is this something I have to activate or thunderbolt on this model doesn't support PD?

    Hi takeo,
I'm facing the exact same problem. I have just bought and tested the Lenovo Thunderbolt 3 Dock and my VN7-593g wouldn't charge either.
Have you come across an solution to this problem by now? Installing the drivers I found doesn't help either.

    Hi JackE,
I'm not quite sure what to take from your answer, sorry.
There is only one USB-C / Thunderbolt 3 port. So I'm pretty sure I connected the dock correctly.
I also know that the dock has two TB3 ports. One supports Power Delivery, the other one doesn't.
So the problem should be solved software wise I guess.

    Any further recommendations?

Just wanted to make sure your port positions were the same as depicted in the image. Since I can't find power delivery or charging mentioned anywhere in the specs except for the A3 port, probably not safe to assume that it does. Jack E/NJ

I don't know where your image is from but for my Notebook the manual does not only say usb-c but also Thunderbolt 3.
And usually, Thunderbolt 3 also offers Power Delivery.
Also on Thunderbolts official website they explicitly mention that this model is able to be charged via Thunderbolt.

Thunderbolt3 sometimes but not always offers power on power delivery. Depends on mfr. Most often found on Macs. PCs sometimes use alternateThunderbolt symbols. It may charge batteries in power off fashion like the USBA3 port. Jack E/NJ
