My miniature Acer Aspire is hung up when I first turn it on. It continuously shows the Win XP logo.

When botting up my little Acer Aspire, it absolutely will not finish the process and go to the desktop as usual.  When it gets to the part where the Win XP logo appears, it just stops and sits there.  I've tried to Control-Alt-Delete, but nothing.  We have taken the battery pack out and put it back in, Nothing.  

 

My Brother  never made a back up copy of the hard drive as was suggested when the computer was purchased so I don't even have that to work with????  I'm at a loss.  Of course, the Restore for the computer is "in the computer" and I can't even get to the desktop!!  I've had alot of issues with computers, but NEVER one like this.  That darn little thing won't let me do anything, it just sits there, stuck....

Try using Alt+F10 On boot. this may show a message about windows is loading files. then pick option one.
