     question :Hi, I am Mary and I have an RED Acer laptop and the screen cracked  and can not view anything off of it while back and am wondering how to get the items that I have stored on the laptop off of there one this person told me that I may have to replace the hard drive in it and another told me to try to take an HDMI cable and hook it in to my laptop and hook it in the back of my HDMI on my TV  set and try to view off of my TV. any help from anyone out there would be very helpful.   thank you, Mary Smith

    Hi Mary, likely the easiest is the HDMI thing. Connect the HDMI port to an external monitor or TV to see if that gives you a copy of what it's trying to display. Do you know which model Chromebook you have?

    hi, BILLSEY, I am responding to your request-- it's an ACER ASPIRE V5 SERIES and MODEL ZRQ  WINDOWS 8  on back of laptop. [ has windows 8.1 inside of running version] how can I do with a tv?  and I do have another laptop, too..also, give me a clue how to hook up the laptop to the other laptop  and tv.  await your reply, do have HDMI CABLE.. thank you, mary smith
