Hi All,

I tried to install a Samsung Evo 970 NVMe Drive on my laptop, but I could not find it listed in the BIOS. I tried resetting the BIOS to default settings but no luck. I have read several threads in the forum that people were able to add a M.2 NVMe SSD to this laptop but all saying about Evo 960.

So my question is,
Is other any other setting I need to do before booting up the system??
Or is there any limitations that only 960 is supported??
Do I need to update my BIOS?

FYI, I am running Windows 10 with Legacy boot system rather than UEFI. Does this happen to have caused the issue?
But then I tried Windows installation CD, there also I could not see SSD. I spent hours last day with no success.

Please help.

    Hi,
Go to BIOS settings, move to Advanced tab, click SATA configuration and check whether they are enabled, if not click and enable it.

    Hi
    Thanks for replying.
I checked this setting and I can see both are enabled.
    Still SSD not detected.
