What should I do? I am having issues when I play games. There is no issues when watching videos such as YouTube. I have to disable Nvidia GeForce Graphics Card to play or do anything now. Having it on makes the laptop heat up and really slow.

My laptop is / Windows 10 / Acer Aspire E 15 / Nvidia GeForce 940M with 4GB Dedicated VRAM / Intel Core i5-5200U / 8GB DDR3 L Memory / 1000 GB HDD

    1. Right click on battery icon in task bar.
    2. Select power options.
    3. Select “Change plan settings” for your current active plan.
    4. Select “Change advanced power settings”.
    5. Scroll down and select “Processor power management”.
    6. Change maximum processor state to a value below 100. Check which value gives you the best results.
    7. Change minimum processor state to a value less than your selected maximum value.
    8. Make sure system cooling policy is marked as active.

And most importantly, do not place your laptop directly over a table or bed. Keep something like cellotape rolls or a book below your laptop. This greatly improves the airflow

I am still having the screen tearing issue, and my laptop crashes when I try to play a game.

Drivers are up to date. Can you explain V-Sync? I think its on, but I want to make sure. How would I find that?
