So I bought the $600 Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop a week and a half or two ago and it's been working perfectly fine until today. Today I was just listening to music looking at my phone and when I looked up my screen had what looked like a pressure crack but did not act the same way (black and whitish bars running down a thick bar near the middle of my screen) and panicked so I shut down my computer and closed it. When I booted it back up and opened it the bar had turned into two equal sized evenly spaced bars running from the top to the bottom slightly to the right of the center of the screen that are always flickering and show whats underneath but the image is flickering. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I don't know what even caused it.

    Hi HenryHarris898

The issue seems to be abnormal lines in display. In order to isolate whether this is a software or hardware issue, I request you to check the display in BIOS. On startup of your laptop, tap F2 button rapidly. That will load the unit to BIOS.

In that BIOS, if you see the abnormal lines... then it is hardware issue. You need to contact Acer Technical Support in your region https://www.acer.com/worldwide/ and report this issue to them.

Luckily, if you do not see the abnormal lines in the BIOS screen... then it might be OS related issue. Performed full factory reset would fix that.
