Hello
I have an Acer Aspire desktop, and I can only connect to the internet via a wired connection. Once i disconnect the cable, i lose my connection. My wireless networks dont show up. If i go to settings and network, i dont see an airplane mode, (assuming its on) so i'm thinking something must be wrong. When i go to device manager and Network Adapters, the only thing i see is Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller. I'm pretty sure i need some wireless adapter to have Wifi working. Am i missing something? i ran troubleshooter that Windows has, but all it does is tell me my Ethernet cable is not plugged in. I download the Realtek Wireless Lan Driver (i'm assuming this is what i need to get my wifi working again), but i dont see it in my network adapters. I dont know what else to do. I've tried to google and youtube the different scenarios, but nothing seems to work. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Make sure the airplane mode is off.
If you wish to install new driver for your wifi network you can do that from Acer website
even after installing the new driver if it did not work , once you can do a reset. Before doing reset backup your data. WHile doing reset select" fully clean the drive option"

It's very possible your model doesn't have WiFi. What is your exact model number?
