Advanced BIOS Options

Yesterday I joint the BIOS, but it was the Advanced-BIOS(which one is hidden), I don't remember how but I did. Now I want to join it again but I'm not able to do it. Some people said to press "Fn+Tab" 3x, save and rejoin it. But this also won't work. Can someone help me out? I didn't flash or want to flash my BIOS, just want to join it like yesterday, without any tools or experiments!

    Hi,
Are you trying to go to BIOS screen? If so, please press F2 button as soon as you press power button.

The additional advanced tab in BIOs is a rumor and not possible.

There is no way to get the additional BIOs menu without physically hooking up to your BIOs chip and flashing a modified BIOs firmware.

You have a single advanced tab with 3 options from factory.

Anyone who tells you otherwise isnt being truthful.

I didn't flash it, I joint it yesterday and now it doesn't work. I'm able to join the BIOS, but I want to use the second "Advanced-Tab" like I did before. I pressed those keys - F2, F10, F12, DEL, TAB, Shift, CTRL, FN, and Alt. One of a combination will bring me in.

It looked like on this video. Without any flash or any configuration before doin' it.

    Like I said.

Adding a second advanced tab is scripted manually into a written BIOs reflash.

Having two advanced tabs is not possible from a factory shipped unit.
Even in the video you sent he doesnt have two advanced tabs, he just unlocks the one.

I have personally unlocked my BIOs and added a second advanced tab on the Helios 300 and have seen the code myself.

    Its just not there.

The ONLY possibility is that someone purchased your laptop, unlocked the BIOs, then returned it to you which you then found the second tab unlocked.

Even that scenario is not possible since it removed itself from sight.

I unboxed the laptop, no one else was using it before. I never flashed it(only updated on the official way -> acer drivers), just joint it yesterday only 1 time and changed some settings and now I'm not able to go in anymore. I'm not blind, stupid or something else(you act like I've seen aliens), I'm saying it like it was and just wanted to know how I'm getting again in. If I press Fn + Tab + A, then the background from the BIOS is in red and not blue, and there is a text like "Insydeh20 .... (Manufacture)...rev.5...".

Maybe you can help me out by givin' me the new updated version 1.19 BIOS. Thanks in advance.

To my knowledge, updated BIOS is system specific, and is not generic across systems, even of the same make n model. So getting his might not be of any use.

You can use Throttlestop to disable your turbo boost quite easily.

Theres also a registry that adds a turbo boost modifier to your windows power menu found here:

This is normal... if the game is a heavy game, your power supply cannot supply the full power needed to run your CPU and CPU at full potential. So it pulls the additional power from battery. This is normal, and not a defect.

If you have a 130 watts charger (unlike the USA region where you get 180 watts chargers), you would notice more battery drain.

Its actually a feature of the laptop to stop charging at 100% and let the battery discharge to 95% then trickle charge back to 100%.

This helps increase the lifespan of the battery and is found in 95% of modern laptops on the market today.

I'ld have a choice to disable my built-in battery and stay just "plugged-in" and I'm not with 95% -> it is for me like ~70%, this is why i want to go to the advanced BIOS. My games are not that heavy, just Fortnite actually is eating a lot of battery.

    That is indeed not normal...

Have you monitored voltages/package power to see your current power draw?

I would like to add that the features in the advanced BIOs menu can easily be tweaked via Throttlestop, including capping TDP to a more reasonable value.

Also undervolting the GPU may give you great benefit as well as a performance boost.

Check this video out... all the games shown are using far less voltages then stock and each game is at maximum graphic settings reaching at least 60 fps.

    https://youtu.be/nYW7ROFx2Kk

Laptops are a great tool especially with portable gaming, but special care should be taken as they do not operate like their desktop counterparts.. the result is more tweaks needed to be done to perform at its optimum.

No, I'm not that good with hardware stuff, it is actually only in Fortnite like that. I've also tried to undervolt my 300, but it's not affecting, so I set it to default back.
