Most games start with no video, only sound

so, I've got a Predator 17 and gradually during the last month all my games (save three) have become unplayable. They all start up, I see the icon in the task bar and I hear the audio from the game but they either start "invisible" or as a white window (in some cases I can even mouse over where I know the buttons are on the menu and click them so the games do start up). I've tried updating my nvidia drivers, a complete reset of the whole computer and a clean reinstall of windows 10 but none of those worked. BioShock, Guild Wars 2 and Grim Fandango remastered are the only games I am still able to play with no problems and if it matters, these are the games I've tried:

World of Warcraft (worked three weeks ago by editing the config.wtf to force the game to start in windowed mode, but that trick doesn't work anymore)
Grow Home (worked by setting the launch option to windowed, otherwise it showed a white screen)
Grow Up (invisible both fullscreen and windowed)
House Flipper (invisible fullscreen, white in windowed)
Warframe (the little start-up window shows up as a white square but if I click where I know the start button is, the game starts up like normal)

A few months ago I also started having the problem when the screen doesn't turn on during start-up but the computer itself turns on, so I'm forced to restart it by holding down the power button.

I'm not a tech savvy person so I'm not sure what info you'd need to help me figure this out but here is some of what dxdiag tells me:

Machine name: LAPTOP-R3CFACMI
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 17134) (17134.rs4_release.180410-1804)

Display Memory: 4149 MB
Dedicated Memory: 128 MB
Shared Memory: 4021 MB
Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz)

display 2

DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC
Device Type: Full Device

To me it seems wierd that display 1 uses the intel card but display 2 (which I don't have, to my knowledge lol) uses the nvidia card... any help is appreciated, thanks.

and the only thing I noticed that is different is that the windows version you are using is new and that build has issues with predator series, so did the issues start after windows got upgraded on computer, if it has then you will need to undo the update you have done and use this tool to block the the update from downloading again https://www.howtogeek.com/223864/how-to-uninstall-and-block-updates-and-drivers-on-windows-10/
As you can see I have completely locked down the windows 10 update on my pc as I dislike my pc from being updated with out my permission,I only update when I want to update it.

I actually have had the same problem the last two days and we have the same laptop model and specifications so i think this fix might also apply to you.

After trying everything just as you did, i decided to find what the cause of the problem was. i found that my problem in particular was linked to the Integrated intel GPU. To make this story short and save you all the details on how i figured this out or why this happend, i'll just tell you the possible fix that worked in my case.

Simply go to the acer product support page, i'll link that here:
    https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/6371?b=1
From here you find the VGA driver for Intel (not Nvidia). Download it, unpack and install. Of course overwrite the existing version even though the one you are installing is an older version than the current one, then restart the computer. This should hopefully allow your games to launch normally again, as it did for me.
