Hi!

I've purchased brand new Acer laptop:
Acer Aspire 7 i7-8750H/16G/120+1000/Win10 GTX1050Ti FHD

My BIOS is V1.15

From the beginning laptop had a problem - sometimes it's hanging up without any reason. Usually Chrome is open, but last time it hanged up in viber.
So the mouse is doesn't move and no reaction for keyboard. Only holding power button for 5 seconds helps.

What I've tried - first I was thinking that's because of windows 10 1709 update. So I decided to install 1803 update, but problem was the same - without any logic sometime my laptop is hanging up.

I've updated all my drivers, even flashed BIOS 1.15 once again, but no luck...

Any adivce?

    Does it turn off when it is connected to electric power or only when using the battery? Did you notice if there is any overheating?
    If it turns off only on the battery, try to do a power reset by disconnecting the notebook from the electrical outlet! Then press the battery hole on the notebook part for five seconds and then leave it off for five minutes!

    It doesn't turn off, it is hangups (freeze) and only holding powerbutton allows to turn it off. 
    I'm usually using laptop with power supply.

    Also does no any overheating - I've disabled turboost by setting cpu frequency to 99%.
    So even in games my temperature is under 78-80 degrees.

    Reset the battery as I told you before and then go to the battery and type memory! Let him do a complete test of ram!

  • It was a translation error! Go to Cortana and enter memory for a test in ram!

    You could try running SFC /scannow at least 3 times, then run DISM Restorehealth command and run sfc /scannow again.

    Forgot to mention it, but I've already completed command:
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    Hi,
    It's better to run at least 3 times so that any unchecked  files are repaired. By the way, do you have any third party AV program(Trial version) installed?
    If so, please remove them with the Removal tool provided by the manufacturer, Norton and McAfee have their own removal tool, download it from their site.

    Currently sfc /scannow is executed 3 times.
    Kaspersky Total Secturity is installed (paid licence).

    No errors in sfc.

    Hi,
    You could try uninstalling Kaspersky temporarily to check whether it causes the problem, as you have a paid version, you can reinstall it latter on. Use the removal tool to completely remove the program, you will be immediately protected by Windows Defender.
