I was on my  desktop when the display startedto go black. I have tried every thing from downloading latest driver and also tried updating the bios all the drivers are upto date I have tried everything going as far as reseting my windows but still a black screen. I am typing using a secondary display (LED TV). Please note that the screen is black not turned off its a LCD panel so I can really tell the difference.

I need help on this matter ASAP! there is no way of contacting acer so just putting this out here.

    >> Try to perform a simple power reset and check the issue.  Shutdown the laptop. Disconnect the charger. Disconnect the external display. Please check for a battery reset PIN hole at the bottom of the device. The reset hole would have a battery symbol next to it. Insert a paperclip into the hole and press for four seconds. Let the computer sit for 5 minutes with no power. Reconnect the charger and power On the laptop.

    >>Also, Try to reset BIOS to default settings. Start your computer and as soon as you hit the Power On button, keep pressing the F2 key. You can simply hit the F9 key to display a blue screen that says Load Setup defaults? Clicking on Yes will restore the default BIOS settings.  Press F10 to save and exit.

    >> Try the Fn+F5 key to switches the display output between the display screen, external monitor.

    >> If still the inter display is blank and you are able to get the external display, then the issue could be with some internal connectivity of the LCD screen.

Please contact Acer support in your region and check for further options to fix this issue.

I am also facing a similar issue the screen has become black although it shows a light on the background but no logo on boot screen. It does not even show the bios menu. Can someone from Acer please provide a solution or a fix. The laptop is still in warranty. Should I send this device for warranty claim.
