Hello!
I am having an issue with my acer laptop which is Bluetooth driver Bluetooth_Atheros_v8.0.1.305_W81x64_A version as it was working before but after updating windows 10 1803 build version it does not working properly.

Sorry that it didn't work for you. Yes, that is true but if the computer is not built for 1803, it is good to wait but maybe the manufacturer for the Bluetooth device will and should release an update soon.

You can try searching for the hardware ID of the device and see if you see a latest driver update. If not, I will say that you're the right path. Safe to say that you can wait.

Maybe I think the driver is not uninstalled properly. It gives you a message about the higher version because of my theory man, the driver that you have installed previously and worked properly was actually the correct one. The Bluetooth driver since did not work because probably the Windows update messed it up.

Go to run command -> devmgmt.msc -> right click the Bluetooth driver -> uninstall and do not restart the computer -> try to install the driver -> Now restart.

I think either the Windows Defender or Windows Update is causing all these mess.

As the name suggests in the file: W81x64This means that the driver is not designed for Windows 10 but for Windows 8.1 64bit, let alone 1803. There should not be much changes over all however. Simply uninstall the driver from your device manager and update your Windows. Probably your Windows would've messed up the driver.

Once you remove the Bluetooth driver, install the Atheros driver without restarting the computer. (If you restart, your Windows will update the incorrect driver again.) Once you are done installing the Atheros driver, restarted and see if the problem is resolved.

Did not work. I have tried and followed your steps several time nothing works. anyways I have checked that my laptop model still have not eligible for updating 1803 build version for windows 10 from acer site in the support category. That's why my bluetooth driver sometimes appear and works when microsoft release another update version of OS after 1 or 2 days  it automatically disappear/ disable the bluetooth driver again. I think acer still finding the solution for this model. i hope they will provide us the better solution.

yah! now this is working but I'm not sure how many days would it works in this way?! because i used to follow you procedures before but worked only few days. yes, this time i removed previously connected Bluetooth devices which were installed and appears again. Now i only re- connected two devices one is My Bluetooth HeadPhone and anothe is my Android Cell Phone. As previously the bluetooth icons properly not working when it appeared then did not want to disappeared by clicking manually. now I can switch on and switch off easily with smoothly by clicking mouse pointer. But Fn+F3(Bluetooth Switch on/off) stil not working.
