Hello. Ever since the Acer Inc. System Firmware 1.06 my VX 15 has been getting warmer while playing video games. I bought this laptop last year in August and I was playing a game called Half-Life 2 and the CPU temp used to stay at 50ºC approximately, I was using the 376.54 driver back then. I also updated my GPU driver recently to the last certified OEM version (398.26) and now when I play the same game my CPU is getting with 10-20ºC warmer than normal. It doesn't happen with that game only, it happens with any game. Even old games that are not demanding at all for example Warcraft 3 with the CPU temp fluctuating at 50-60ºC. That's too high for such an old game.
I noticed that before the 1.06 firmware the laptop's fans were running faster and now they are running slower, I can notice the force of the air when it flows out.

Can that new firmware or GPU update affect the laptop's CPU and GPU temps?

Thank you
