I currently own an acer v nitro 592g-58sj (i5 6300hq) ,however i am interested on buying the aorus gaming box(gtx 1070).I am really worried is that  what if the egpu does not support this laptop.I have done intensive research as most people are complaining about the thunderbolt 3 issues with acer v nitro that it does not support an egpu..if there is a way to clarify that this version of laptop can support egpu as it would be a shame of me to spend so much on this laptop and realise that the thunderbolt 3 isnt an actual thunderbolt

    Hi, Aspire V Nitro 15 VN7-592G - 58SJ has 2no's USB 3.0 ports and 1 USB - C port.

USB - C ports is used to connect type-C USB devices (e.g., USB type-C flash drive, USB type-C hard drive). Thunderbolt is not available.

    Hello there

I was wondering if any headway was made with this? I also own a V Nitro black edition (i5 6300HQ) and am also interested in buying one of the Gigabyte gaming boxes. Any help/info would be much appreciated!

    Hellow,
yes i just verified with my laptop, using the aorus gaming box gtx 1070 ...the laptop can handle......However, if your model laptop states that it can support thunderbolt 3.it should not be an issue.

I have a V15 Nitro as well and really need to know if it will support an egpu. Just bought an Akitio Node and GTX 1660ti and I am totally confused as to why this won’t work...
