I have tried several times without success.

1. The first problem is when creating the Recovery USB. I have tried already with two micro SDD cards. I have followed the instructions in the Recovery Management of the ACER CARE portal. At the end of the creation, says that Windows can not complete the formatting process. Now the Card is not even recognized when I mount it.

2. The upgrade process says that I need to have 8GB at least to do the upgrade. I have removed all files, uninstall my apps and still I can only release 2.9GB. The machine only has one user local and one user connected to my MS OUTLOOK account.
3. This machine was bought in 2017, works fine, though is slow.

Your comments and guidance with be much appreciated.

Regards,
Manuel

If you are unable to create the USB recovery media, please contact Acer support in your region and check if they can ship you the USB recovery media.
    Acer US : https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/service-contact

The quickest way to clear space in Windows is to run Microsoft’s built-in Disk Clean-up utility, or an alternative such as CCleaner Free, Microsoft’s Disk Clean-up utility can safely delete hidden system files. Click the button that says “Clean up system files” for the option to delete various files including “Previous Windows Installation(s)”.

Next, go back to the Storage page and click on your C: drive. Windows 10 will scan your 32GB and tell you how much space you have free.

Another way is to add a 32GB or 64GB SD or microSD card  more storage. You can create an icon for the card and keep it on the desktop for quick access. If you have large collections of photos, music, movies etc then you can store them on SD cards. Further, you can now install programs on SD cards, too.

Though the disk cleanup method basically deletes every insignificant junk files and help regain some disk space, you need a manual deletion of this update installation files, which will definitely release several GBs of storage for you.

Step 1. In the search box in Windows 10, type cmd and Command Prompt should appear in the result. Right click on it and choose Run as administrator.

Step 2. In the Command Prompt window, type the commands and press Enter after each:

    net stop wuauserv
    net stop bits

Now follow the path C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution. Open the SoftwareDistribution folder and delete everything inside, not including the folder itself.

Step 4. Return to the Command Prompt, now type the other two commands and press Enter after each:

    net start wuauserv
    net start bits

Finally, you can open File Explorer, right click on the C: drive, select properties, and check the box for disk compression. According to Microsoft when done (takes a while) that should reduce the disk space by 1.5GB (-x86) to 2.5GB (-64)

    >>You can manually try to update using the Upgrade Assistant tool.
Head to the Windows 10 Download page. Click on the “Update now” button to download the Upgrade Assistant tool. From the download page, click “Update Now” to use the Update Assistant to walk you through the upgrade. The second option is for creating install media on a drive or disc. The Update Assistant will walk you through the upgrade process but keep in mind it will take some time and your system will restart several times.

    Hi Sharanji,
Thanks for your reply. This is what I have done so far,
    1. I was able to get a quote so that ACER can send me a USB Recovery Media. Though, it is very expensive. It would be 50% of what I pay for the machine. Is there any other alternative that you may think of ?
    2. I stopped the services and now I am at the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder. I just wanted to make sure that I need to delete ALL content of this folder. There is one log file and several other folders. Do I need to go to each folder and delete whatever is NOT a folder or just have to be careful of not removing the ...SoftwareDistribution folder.

    Thanks
    Manuel
