Hello,

so since I like my notebook super fast'n'silky smooth I was quite mad discovering that my Predator 300 (PH317-51-724L) will stutter every time I open for example Chrome... as does this thread https://communities.intel.com/thread/119093 describe. Intel states that some updates may fix this... so why isn't ACER doing new Intel based drivers? The latest from Intel is (as seen here https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/98909/Intel-HD-Graphics-630 ) from May this year and the latest from Acer (as seen here https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/7309?b=1&pn=NH.Q29EC.003 ) is from July 2017. Can we please get an update?

Btw I'm not going to use the traypdw (or whatever), that fixes symptoms, not the cause.

Thank you

I dont understand, why cant you download drivers from intel site?
Im using always using drivers from parts manufacturer site and never had any problems, no point in waiting, especially since after some time all brands will stop supporting older models.

Also, new drivers wont probably help you - been there, done that.
Spend whole 4 days trying to fix this - nothing worked.

This is problem on intel side, which they claim is fixed.
    Plot twist - it isnt.

My advice - buy lapotp with intel gpu disabled (disabling intel gpu and forcing nvidia card to work all the time will only fix it partially).

Also, you are being childish if you dont want to try possible solution, only because its not from acer official channel lol

I had a problem with MSI laptop btw, so maybe something will work for you lol

Intel has concluded that the issue doesn't entirely hinge on them, nvidia has also done its part, Microsoft has recently released an update which solves the issue for the most part.

Well that may be your opinion and it is wrong. I don't want to use trayprdw (that software that forces laptop to use nvidia gpu all the time) simply because it's not meant to be this way + battery etc... And using Intel drivers is adviced against when I try to install them. It says that I have to use the drivers from Acer support site. Anyway I guess the issue is still unresolved.
