Is there a way to find out if a tablet can be upgraded to Oreo before purchase?

I am looking at buying the B1-860A-K3UF tablet which comes with Nougat but want to know if it gets the Oreo upgrade.
I've tried googling it but no answers were forthcoming.

TIA

There is no listing about the Oreo update, mostly from the specs I can only notice that it is listed as Android Nougat only. I would presume that the update is not possible metaphorically.

I've noticed in general Acer does not upgrade tablets when new Android versions come out but i was hoping this being a relatively new release tablet they may have.
And like many manufacturers there is no public list of the newest Android for what tablet which would be a nice reference.

I agree with you. Generally a great feature to list what the future updates are would be nice, what would be nicer is if they list that if the tablet can or cannot be upgraded.

There are ROMS that you can install and install 8.0 but not recommended. I've bricked my ZukZ1 once doing so.

Indeed that would be great but i suspect their business model is now about never updating hoping customers will just buy a new device every year or two

I think they have decided to pass the savings on to the consumer rather than be a little bit higher in price to fund development of updates. In as tight of a price point as Android tablets are every few cents counts.

Thats quite the creative interpretation, lower cost so you have to keep upgrading. How much does it save per tablet, $5 or less? I'll pay that instead of a new tablet to get a newer Android...
