Hello good people!

I bought an Acer Aspire ES1-523-63HF at the beginning of 2017.

Model number: N16C2

SNID: **********

It came with Windows 10. Everything worked fine, but I wanted to run Windows 7 (x64) instead.

I formatted the hard drive and installed Windows 7 (x64).

The laptop is running fine with Windows 7, except that some drivers are not installed. The one I urgently need is for my graphics card (or is it called a 'graphics adapter' for laptops?)

There doesn't SEEM to be a problem when I look at Device Manager (When I click 'Display Adapters' the drop down is 'Standard VGA Graphics Adapter' - is that what it should be?)

Here is the HardwareID string for the graphics card:
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9851&SUBSYS_108A1025&REV_40

It's important because I've quit my job and am trying to make an online business, and need my graphics card to be function properly for Microsoft PowerPoint.

When I try to use PowerPoint (and actually "run" a PowerPoint that includes animations and slide transitions), I get an error message that says "PowerPoint has detected that your graphics card may not be configured properly for an optimal slide show experience". This is obviously the case, because the animations and slide transitions are super, super slow and jolty.

Before I formatted my hard drive and installed Windows 7 (the laptop came with Windows 10 and all drivers installed), PowerPoint worked perfectly, in terms of smooth animations and slide transitions.

I clicked on the 'Learn more' link in the PowerPoint error message. It just told me to clear the option in PowerPoint that says "Disable hardware graphics acceleration" and clear the option that says "Disable slideshow graphics hardware acceleration" (they were both ALREADY clear). Hence, it seems to be a driver problem.

Any help would be greatly GREATLY appreciated
Thanking you in advance

Matthew Davis

You have to install the AMD graphics driver. Use this link and under 'automatically detect and install your driver' click on download now and then install the file.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

This is a good 3rd party program for drivers just make sure you untick/tick any boxes when installing.

    Hey guys,

I can't find drivers for bluetooth on my laptop.

    ...........................................................................................................
    Details about laptop:

I bought an Acer Aspire ES1-523-63HF at the beginning of 2017.

    Model number: N16C2

    SNID: 639 003 723 34

It came with Windows 10. Everything worked fine, but I wanted to run Windows 7 (x64) instead.
I formatted the hard drive and installed Windows 7 (x64).

The laptop is running fine with Windows 7, except that some drivers are not installed)

    (End of details about laptop)
    ............................................................................................................

In the Device Manager, there are SIX bluetooth icons with exclamation marks inside a yellow triangle as a part of the icons (indicating there is no driver for them).

The Hardward ID for the first bluetooth icon is: BTHENUM\{0000110b-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb}_VID&00000000_PID&0000
    Second bluetooth icon:                                     BTHENUM\{0000110e-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb}_LOCALMFG&001d
    Third bluetooth icon:                                       BTHENUM\{0000110e-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb}_VID&00000000_PID&0000
    Fourth bluetooth icon:                                     BTHENUM\{0000111e-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb}_LOCALMFG&001d
    Fifth bluetooth icon:                                        BTHENUM\{0000110b-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb}_LOCALMFG&001d
    Six bluetooth icon:                                           BTHENUM\{0000111e-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb}_VID&00000000_PID&0000

(I am aware that the first, third and sixth are the same. And that the second, fourth and fifth are. Thats not a mistake on my part - I've copied and pasted them correctly).

The suggestion from the previous comments for a third party program that detects drivers will not install on my laptop for some reason (https://www.iobit.com/en/driver-booster.php)

I have also tried to download and install the bluetooth driver from the following Intel site. It also will not install on my laptop for some reason
    (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27864/Wireless-Intel-Wireless-Bluetooth-for-Windows-7-)

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am on holiday atm, and with my smart phone recently stolen, it would be great to be able to listen to things on my laptop with my bluetooth headphones, and bluetooth speaker!

    Thankyou

    The Batman
