AN515-31 questions about BIOS and SSD

AN515-31 seem to be on the meltdown / spectre list to get fixes on BIOS 1.16, I think it's been there months already, is there anything news about Spectre / Meltdown fixes for AN515-31?

Default SSD is Intel type (600P!), as there might not be HDD kit included inside laptop on EU area as it's on US area, what is best option?

1) Open whole laptop and change Intel SSD for something else that works with 1803 Windows 10.

2) Buy HDD kit from local acer seller, and install 2.5" SSD on laptop, during installation ignore Intel SSD and let it do nothing.

If HDD kit is not included on laptop, I think I need to open whole laptop anyway, as SATA power and such are very likely hidden inside case.

****, really. I don't really like opening laptops. If I'm forced to open it, then as well I might change thermal paste / pad for much better for double fans, and might include thermal pads for there and there to reduce heat.
