I'm having problems installing June 12, 2018—KB4284835 (OS Build 17134.112) update. This update has tried to install at least six times and with the same thing happening. First it asks you to restart the computer and once you do, it goes up to 30 percent before going to the black screen and the ACER logo. After that it goes to the unhappy face, blue screen of death, and it then goes into diagnose and repair mode. It then, after doing this for about twenty minutes, goes to this screen where it says that it is undoing the changes of this update. When I log back in and go to the update, I get this error code: 0x800f0845 right beside the fail update. Microsoft and ACER are useless and won't tell me what's wrong. I let Microsoft remote access my computer with the same results, except they downloaded the update from the windows catalog update site. And ACER partner site answerby.com told me that I would have to pay for a technician to remote access my computer so that they could diagnose what was wrong with it. I guess my question is, does anyone know of a diagnosing tool or step by step directions on how to diagnose my computer, without having to pay for it? I for one, think that it's not the computer but the update that is the problem, but I've tried telling Microsoft that until I'm blue in the face and I might as well be speaking a different language; because they won't listen or they think they know it all. Also, is anyone else having the same or similar problem? And if so, could you please tell me how you fixed it?

Please follow the below mentioned steps carefully and it should completely fix the issue.
Although the Error Code 0x800f0845 falls into the category of Windows 10 update errors, it’s not a regular one. It means that it cannot be fixed by resetting Windows Update components or restarting Windows update service.

The 0x800f0845 error shows up when installing Windows 10 Cumulative Update KB4056892 only. This update is an emergency update for AMD and Intel systems to immunize the Meltdown and Spectre vulnerabilities. The update has been released and pushed as one of the automatic Windows 10 updates. Unfortunately, thousands of AMD systems encountered an endless boot loop once the system attempted to restart to finish up installing the KB4056892 update.

    >>>>>This workaround is for those who have already installed the KB4056892 update and the system got stuck at boot.
Try to reboot Windows for several times in a row. Failed reboots will start an Automatic Repair.
In the Automatic Repair Window, select Troubleshoot -> Advanced Options.
Then open Startup Settings and click Restart.
Now click F4 or 4 to access Safe Mode.
When in Safe Mode, press Windows key + I to open Settings.
Open Update & Security section and click Windows update.
Now select the KB4056892 update from the update history and click Uninstall the update.
Now the new and better update KB4088776 can be installed

    >>>>>If you can sign in to Windows (Windows Starts Normally).
If the KB4056892 update has already installed on your system, then:
Go to Settings -> Update and Security and click View installed update history.
    Click Uninstall updates.
Highlight the KB4056892 update and click Uninstall.
After uninstalling the KB4056892 update, download and install the KB4073290 Cumulative update.

    >>>>>Start the 'TrustedInstaller' before installing the KB4056892 update.
Open command prompt as administrator. To do that:
In the Search box type: cmd or command prompt
Right click on the command prompt (result) and select Run as Administrator.
In command prompt type the following command and Press Enter:
    SC config trustedinstaller start=auto
Close command prompt and restart your PC.
After restart, go to Settings > Update & Security and check and install all available updates.

Another option to fix problems with the KB4056892 update installation, is to block the KB4056892 from installing on the PC.
To do that: Navigate to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3073930
Scroll down and click at Download the "Show or hide updates" troubleshooter package now link and Save the file to your computer.
Run the downloaded file, and click Next at the first screen.
    Then click Hide updates.
Select the KB4056892 and click Next.
Close the "Show Hide updates" utility.
Finally proceed and install the KB4073290 Cumulative update.

Keep us posted if you face any issues with the above steps. We will be glad to help you.
