Hello,
Unfortunately, I have installed Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon on my Acer Aspire E 15.
I would like to do a factory reset. By pressing Alt + F10 on reboot I do not get into the recovery menu anymore!
The "Push Button Reset" partition exists on the disk and can easily be mounted into Linux. Since the local data volume there is 14 GB, Windows 8 would have to be available for reinstallation.
Is it possible to run the ReBuildSSD.exe which is found on this partition?
Or does anyone have any idea how I could get into the recovery menu?
Even holding Shift when restarting does not work.

Thank you very much!

Press & hold the power button for 5 seconds till the machine completely shuts off. Then turn the machine back on and immediately start tapping the F2 key to access the BIOS menu. Then go to the MAIN tab and enable D2D recovery option if it's disabled. Then press F10 to save settings and exit. If it doesn't boot into Windows, then shut the machine completely off again. Turn it back on and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. A recovery screen should appear. Follow direction to re-set the machine to a factory-fresh state.
