My ssd in my Acer desktop failed so i bought a new one for another PC cloned that drive and now want to move the original SSD from my other PC into my Acer.

i disconnect all the drives on the Acer apart from the SSD but when I try to use the system disks to reinstall on the Acer it sees the drive but It wont install giving the message not enough temporary space and pops open the cd tray. the SSD i am using is a extreem pro sandisk. it was showing up in BIOS as RAID which didnt seem right. any ideas, do you need more info?

thanks

We might need more, but let's try to dig in with what we have. With the SSD installed try booting from the install disk but go to Repair instead on to install. From there get to the command prompt (Troubleshoot; Command Prompt IIRC) and start diskpart. With diskpart we're going to wipe out the existing partitions to allow the recovery to create new ones. Do a 'list disk' and see which one is the SSD (likely 0 at this point). Next 'select disk #' where # is the number of the SSD. Finally do a 'clean' which will remove all existing partitions and 'exit' which will write the changes to the disk and exit back to the command prompt. You should be able to go ahead and restore to factory from the system disks now.

Let us know if it works, and if it doesn't tell us where it fails and what it says...
