    The product listing: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/ID/content/support-product/4253;-;AO725

However, for connecting to 5Ghz, the laptop should have the capability. The laptop should have a 5Ghz adapter to perform this. If not, you can split the frequency into 2.5/5Ghz and then use it. A good option and a fair point.

To do this, go to your router page *Default gateway* and split the frequency.

Surely, the logic is that 5Ghz transmits high speed broadband but the range is low whereas the 2.4Ghz transmits 100MBPS< but has a longer range. This is called the dual band. If 2.4Ghz drops as well, the channel might help here or altogether a better router investment.

2.4Ghz might work on channel 1, 6, 11. Also if the router is closer to another radio device or any devices that emits waves (sound) possible, it might affect the WiFi as the router emits radio waves. Try the driver update but if it doesn't help, it is safe to say that you should be looking at all your devices and if all of them drops for the matter.

Good luck and hope that answers the query.
