Is there a way to go back to UEFI?

I accidentally changed from UEFI to legacy in the bios and now I can't figure out if its possible to go back. Windows won't boot and I already tried reinstalling it but it told me it couldn't find a previous version of Windows. I'm hoping I didn't lose any files.

    Hi @FellowHuman

You can go to BIOS and under BOOT tab check for BOOT Mode and hit enter to choose UEFI. Now highlight UEFI and hit enter to take the effect.
