I went in for a fresh install of home, and then upgraded it to pro. Installed classic shell... and now my windows 10 looks like windows 7 :-)
And then went and changed some power settings. And then reduced current from core and cache by -0.120 and for internal graphics by 0.030. So far so good.
Didn't feel the need for a super computer, cos even with all these settings it still plays my ghost recon wildlands at ultra :-) with no stutter.

I'm pleased you installed  Classic Shell, it, a cool program  and very easy to set, hope you got satisfied with it , now W10 looks  more similar to W7, does'nt it?

Did you have any problem installing Acer applications on a clean  W10? and how did you uprgrade to Pro?  did you have to "get" a licence?

It was a breeze. I called up MS support, asked to be transferred to tech support, bargained with them for some time, and the rep was real sweet. He gave me a pro key for $40 plus taxes. Best part was that though I asked for a home to pro upgrade key, he gave me a pro retail key (original cost $199). That hit the sweet tooth, and I said yes.

Once I updated the product key on my windows, it auto updated itself to get the additional features. One restart towards the end, and that's it. Updating took about 5-10 mins, including the restart.

And the first thing I did after that was to defer feature updates to 1 year so i could install when i realize it is bug free, and delayed other updates by 30 days, for the same reason as earlier.
