Hello Guys, i have a problem with my new monitor. I buyed yesterday the monitor Acer GN246HL Bbid for the 144 hz but i cant put 144hz cuz i have the problem "please use the correct dual link dvi cable that came with your monitor"

Mi video is Sapphire r7 360 2gb ddr5 and its connected on DVI-Dual Link allready.

Is there someone with the same problem in the past? i really want to know if its a problem on my video card or the monitor is defective.

Ty.

Please make sure you're using the DP cable that came with the monitor or a relatively new one. 1.0 and 1.1 DP cables don't support 144hz @ 1440p.
Also, assuming your on Windows 10, check the refresh rate here:
Right Click on the Desktop, Click on Display settings, Click on Display adapter properties (a new box should open up), Click on the monitor tab, Set Screen refresh rate to 144hz.
