I have disabled secure boot but Launch CSM is still unavailable. Unfortunately I have a corrupt volume and require to boot win 10 from USB to access the recovery tools. I cannot boot to USB although it sees the device until I can access it in the BIOS. I cannot update the Bios and again. I did not update the bios on this computer. How can I boot to USB?

Hi, Follow these easy steps to boot from a flash drive, an external hard drive, or some other bootable USB device:

    1. Change the BIOS boot order so the USB device option is listed first.  If the USB boot option is not first in the boot order, your PC will start "normally" (i.e. boot from your hard drive) without even looking at any boot information that might be on your USB device. Use the following steps to change the boot order in the BIOS.
    2. Completely shut down your computer.
    3. Press the Power button.
    4. Tap the F2 key when the Acer screen appears.
    5. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to highlight Boot.
    6. Use the down arrow key to highlight the USB HDD to boot from, then press the F6 key to move it to the top of the list.
    7. Tap the F10 key and press Enter to save changes.

Tip: The BIOS on most computers list the USB boot option as USB or Removable Devices but some confusingly list it as a Hard Driveoption, so be sure to dig around if you're having trouble finding the right one to choose.

Note: After setting your USB device as the first boot device, your computer will check it for boot information each time your computer starts. Attach the USB device to your computer via any available USB port. Watch for a Press any key to boot from external device... message.

    1. On some bootable devices, you may be prompted with a message to press a key before the computer will boot from the flash drive or another USB device.
    2. If this happens, and you do nothing, your computer will check for boot information on the next boot device in the list in BIOS, which will probably be your hard drive.

Note: Most of the time when trying to boot from a USB device, there is no key-press prompt. The USB boot process usually starts immediately. Your computer should now boot from the flash drive or USB based external hard drive.
