I think my NVIDIA GPU is dying!

Model: Aspire E5-575G
Processor: NVIDIA 940mx
               Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.70GHz
System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64 based processer

Have been having this problem lately, I'm not that tech savvy so I'm not really sure what is going on. However, I think it has something to do with the GPU specifically the NVIDIA 940mx. My integrated graphics card functions flawlessly and I'm not really sure why the other does not. When I try to open things under "High performance NVIDIA processer", all apps have this green and purple dots and then to it literally being unplayable. I am still under warranty as well so I'm not sure if there is an easy fix for this or not.
