The drive where Windows is installed is locked i'm getting that when i boot it up from recovery drive. and it's saying could not find the recovery environment when i try it from desktop. i have contacted microsoft about this and keep on getting messed about and they keep cutting me of the chat and i'm wondering if someone can help me on here. my model is acer cloudbook 14 c2q8 so i don't really want to do inplace upgrade incase it messes up (less than 30gb memory) i have tried all the commands to try and fix this and none have fixed it. the 2 only ways it will bring up " reset this pc" is deskop and recovery drive. i tried advanced  start up in update/sec pressing shift while restarting it and that doesn't bring up reset like microsoft told me so am i stuck or can i recover my laptop? no recovery things have been deleted.

I'm not sure this is gonna work. Try pressing and holding the power button till the machine completely shuts off. The turn it back on and immedialtely press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key till hopefully the ACER factory-recovery screen appears. Follow directions as in the video below to reset the machine. Jack E/NJ
