When I connect my laptop to my TV via an HDMI cable, and I'm streaming videos (e.g. Netflix) I notice a couple of things happen:
1) TV screen will repeatedly pause, yet the audio continues to play
2) The video on my laptop will play as normal (no pausing at all)
This has only started happening, so I'm not sure what could be the cause. I haven't downloaded or updated anything crazy recently, so I don't think this could be the problem. The only thing I can think of is that either the HDMI port on my laptop is becoming faulty, or there is a driver fault.
I've read this post (
https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/513401/poor-hdmi-out-performance-on-dual-monitor-set-up-predator-17-g9-793) that seems to have a similar problem. However I'm connecting to a single monitor/ TV, so I can't switch to another that might have a different refresh rate.
