Hi i have an unusial problem, i just updated to the latest bios (version 1.43) for my aspire e15 e5-575-588e laptop and now i can't access lots of web sights, it's the same no matter what browser i use.
I can access the sights using any other machine on my network just not my laptop.
I want to go back to the older bios but the installer won't let me, how do i do it?

Hi, It looks like corrupt network drivers/host file issue to me. Have you tried resetting your network adapter or reinstalling WiFi/LAN drivers? And which operating system are you on? If your issue still persists you should try resetting windows Host file. I wouldn't advice jumping straight to BIOS rollback because if done incorrectly it will cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. #Reply back if you need help with driver reset or host file reset.

Hi XSeaswiftx, thanks for your suggestions. It was the wifi drivers, after reinstalling them everything is OK. It was strange that i could access some web sights but not others . some programs could get access to the web but others could not.
It started right after the restart of the bios update, i've never had that happen before.

Hi astrafax, I'm glad i could be of help. Yeah it might seem like restart after bios update caused it but the actual culprit could be improper Windows update or simply some malware attack. Therefore I would suggest you do a malware scan just to rule out the malware possibility. Goodluck!!! :)
