I made a password reset disk with this laptop a few months ago in case of password recovery. However, when I boot from it, the screen says it is not a bootable disk. What is wrong in here?

What about the non-bootable re-set disk that you made? I thought this is what we're talking about. Can you still read this disk from file explorer even though it's not bootable? Jack E/NJ

Yes. The disk can be seen in File Explorer when it is plugged in

I suspect there is something wrong with your disk , anyway ,you should recreate one instead of asking why it failed ,you can start new here : https://www.iseepassword.com/how-to-make-bootable-usb-drive.html

Password reset disks are invalid for a number of reasons, like Windows password reset disk expired invalid or Biso error.
With this way that which can also replace the password reset disk.

I can't remember my password and was instructed to insert USB flash drive, which I did. Then it said to insert the password reset disc, which I never knew about or made one. Now I'm stuck and don't  know what to do. I'm also not good with technology! Can you help??

Sorry. We cannot help with security issues on this forum. Click on the ACER service link at the bottom of this page and arrange for a recovery. Out of warranty cost will be about $100. Jack E/NJ
