Hello, newbee/novice here: My Aspire T; i3 8 ram orig with win 7 pro installed (i have orig. restore disks) but took the free win upgrade when it was offered.  Now, after the current win 10 major upgrade failed, nothing works to
fix and get win 10 booted. None of the repair options work that are on screen.  I managed to get to the command prompt after hours of googling and utube and followed instructions and then i got the all zeros which means the command prompt fix wont work either.
I fear using my repair disks for two reasons: no skill here and...if i do will i be stuck back in win 7pro?
Also, I do have a 2nd Acer Aspire T that is the same model (working)with upgraded win 10 (older version) that might be a way to fix my nonbooting one but with limited skills here what do you knowledgeable members suggest.
Thanks to anyone that can provide a solution with terminology that a novice can follow.  Any advice is sincerely appreciated.

As you have upgraded to windows 10 from windows 7, the device's signiture(or whatever) should have been also updated, so there should be no problem installing windows 10 anew on your device. To do so follow the instructions(requires another working PC):
    1. Use the link to download the tool that will download the windows 10 installtion .iso file.
    2. Before download it will ask you to pick the version of windows t download. Choose windows 10 32bit(if your device came with 32bit windows 7) or 64bit(if your device came with windows 7 64bit).
    3. After the .iso file is downloaded or while downloading, download rufus.
    4. Before running rufus plug in your USB drive(should be at least 16GB). Run rufus and set it as shown on the picture:
As ISO image you have to select the windows 10 .iso file that you just downloaded.
    5. Now you can boot from the USB drive. Restart the PC with the USB drive plugged in and it should automatically boot from it and open the windows recovery menu.

Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
