Reducing sharpness on XB240H

I just bought a XB240H model display and everything appears unusually sharp, as if there is sharpness processing occurring directly on the monitor itself.
This does not happen on the other display I have plugged in at the moment.
I tried changing settings on the monitor itself, but nothing seems to make it go away.
There are not a lot of settings on the display itself. Changing the colour temperature, brightness and contrast made it a little better, but it is still very annoying.
It is really annoying for my eyes, both when reading text, watching videos and playing games.
Is there anything I can do to reduce the sharpness, via software or otherwise?

Press “ e “ Key to open the Acer eColor Management OSD and access the scenario modes.
    Press “ < “ or “ > ” to select the mode.
Press “ AUTO “ Key to confirm the mode and exit the eColor menu.
User mode, ECO mode, Standard mode, Grahpic mode, Movie mode
Try by selecting each mode and select the mode that suits you.
