Hello Everyone,

I really need help with my monitor (Acer gn246hl). I can already feel the effect of having to use 60hz. I've been using the monitor for a while without any problem on 144hz and I recently took it out because I had an Event(it never fell or had any issues).
Plugged everything back in correctly and the monitor is unusable when I try using 100hz or 120hz or 144hz. When I switch to 60hz it works perfectly. I am not sure what to do and neither do I know what the issue is. I have tried  to update the drivers but the issue still remains. The picture shows what happens when I go 60hz and 144hz. In 144hz there is a green splash on the screen. I took the pictures with my phone.

Please I need some help with this issue. Thanks a lot.

Theses are several requirements recommended by Acer to run this monitor at 1920x1080 resolution at 144 Hz:
Make sure your video card supports the 144Hz refresh rate.
Set the resolution to 1920x1080 @144Hz.
Set the monitor to 2D mode.
Make sure you are using a Dual-link DVI cable, which supports 56-144 Hz (2D) and 56-120 Hz (3D).
Make sure you are not using any switches, splitters, adapters, or converters. The DVI cable must be connected directly between the PC and the monitor.

Thanks for the answer, it was helpful but it didn't fix the issue.
I used this monitor on 144hz couple days ago and it worked perfectly. I also just checked all the requirements you listed and everything is setup to the right setting but its still giving me the same issue when I go for an higher hz. My graphics card is also 1060 3gb which supports 144hz.

Any other help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Update on Issue.

I recorded my screen with OBS and I didn't see any green color on the video. Also I would rule out the cable as the issue because when I used a DVI-D single link cable, it would say incorrect cable when I try to go higher than 60hz.
With the current cable I have that worked couple of days ago, it does not say that.
I really hope I can fix this issue

Could you please check by connecting the monitor to another device so that we can be certain that it is not an issue with the display adapter on your computer?

Please let me know the status, or if you require further assistance!

Okay so I just tried the monitor with my PS4 and it works perfectly, no problem with that. Im guessing its because the hdmi only outputs 60 hz and the 60hz side of the monitor is working. Is it possible that the 100hz and higher side of the monitor stopped working..
