Hi, I'm italian and I apologize in advance for possible grammatical errors. I've recently bought an Acer Swift 3 and I notice that when the fan accelerates it makes a mechanical noise (I would emphasise that the noise happens only for an instant when the fan, as i said, accelerates). Since I'm still in time to give it back to the shop where I bought it, I want to ask the owners if this noise is normal or, on the contrary, if it is strange. To help you answer this question i let you a link which allows you to listen a record that i've done of this little noise (you can listen it around the 2°second). I suggest you to listen the record with your headphones because it is very low.

Link: https://1drv.ms/u/s!ArBnNbZljpl3hZIPZp2N8vvYjZeX5w (the fist noise is me when i tap the space bar)

THANKS to everyone who will help

Seriously, if you can tell for certain it's coming from the fan, it can really only be one of two things. Either the bearing is shot or the impeller shaft has broken or come free from the fan wheel and is slipping. Short of the motor failing entirely, those are the only two things that could really happen. If the bearing is failing or there is an impeller issue it's likely the fan impeller is rubbing against the fan housing or slipping on the impeller shaft.
